Wooden statue of Saint Lucy made in South Tyrol. Amazing reproduction of one of the most popular italian Saint: Lucy or Lucia in italian. Lucy, whose name means Light, is the Patron Saint of the Blind. She is often depicted with the emblem of eyes on a cup or a plate. The Saint was born in Syracuse, in Sicily and she consecrated her Virginity to God. Her mother arranged a marriage for Lucy but she refused her bridegroom.
